Now in its eighth year, the Big Stomp, formerly known as PeteFest and the nation’s first music festival to focus on mental health, will return in 2024 with the two-day festival on Friday July 26th and Saturday July 27th.

inSPIRE Louisville Magazine, formerly known as inSPIRE Black Louisville Magazine, is a non-profit initiative co-created and now led by Noir Black Chamber of Commerce Inc. The magazine was created to celebrate positive black lifestyles within Louisville, Kentucky, while also addressing pressing social and economic issues facing the black community. Through its content, inSPIRE seeks to advocate for improvements in health, education, and socio-economic outcomes.

 

To foster inclusivity and bridge racial divides in the city, the publication’s name has been changed to inSPIRE Louisville Magazine. This change reflects a broader vision of creating a thriving, inclusive city that transcends racial barriers, attracting and retaining professional talent and families from across the country.

 

Key Demographic Characteristics:

 

Ethnicity: The primary demographic of inSPIRE Louisville Magazine consists of 45% individuals who identify as Black or African American, with 55% identifying as other races.

 

Age: The magazine’s content is tailored to engage readers across various age groups, from young adults to older generations. inSPIRE Louisville Magazine aims to attract a diverse readership spanning ages 28 to 65 and beyond.

 

Gender: The readership encompasses individuals of all genders, including males, females, and those identifying as LGBTQQIP2SA (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning,

Intersex, Pansexual, Two-Spirited, and Asexual), as well as other gender identities.

Geographic Location: inSPIRE Louisville Magazines are distributed for free at over 70 pickup locations across Jefferson County, including Kentucky State University in Frankfort, CVS, Valu Markets, UofL Health locations, UofL Belknap Campus Cultural Center, Simmons College, small businesses, churches, and advertiser locations.

 

Interests and Lifestyle: Readers of inSPIRE Louisville Magazine share an interest in positive representations of Black and other cultures, as well as topics such as fashion, beauty, health and wellness, entertainment, relationships, community issues, entrepreneurship, personal development, city growth through economic and workforce development, education, politics, and other aspects of a well-rounded lifestyle.

 

Demographic Snapshot of Louisville Metro:

 

– Population: 1.1 million

– Black Population: 24% (264,000)

– Gender Distribution: 60% Female, 33% Male,

7% LGBTQQIP2SA

– Age Range: 28-65 (Median Age: 36)

– Household Income: $65,000 and above
